Our Story
Austin Founders Community started with a simple idea: founders need a place to connect with people who actually understand what they're building. Austin is a friendly, community-centered city, but many tech events here exist just for profit, not for real relationships.
We built something different. Our community lives on WhatsApp, where members share updates, coordinate casual coworking sessions, and hold each other accountable in small cohorts. There's no ticket, no pitch competition, no vendor booth. Just founders showing up for each other.
At the heart of everything is authenticity. When you're working side-by-side with someone, sharing the daily grind of building a company, you see the real person, not the polished pitch or the networking persona. That's how trust-based relationships form, and that's what makes this community work.
Our community is built on three core principles:
